The staff is really nice and caring for the animals. They where able to get my English bulldog Brutus in for a visit in a timely manner. The price is also very reasonable.

I changed clinics. The vets are so wonderful and caring. But staff is so uncaring and rude that I actually wonder if they actually have any compassion for animals. I've been going to AHOH for over 45 years. Dr Dan Thornborow would be ashamed to know how his clinic is being ran.

Love Dr. Heenan! She is so kind, caring, and thorough. I took my senior dog here for some undetermined leg pain and was very pleased with her treatment plan and recommendations.

I was extremely disappointed with the conversation I had with a staff member this morning. We have two dogs and a cat that have been seen at this clinic since we adopted them. Recently, our cat has fallen ill, sneezing and some eye drainage. Nothing that seems life threatening, but I can tell she’s not very happy right now. I called this morning to get her in to be seen at this clinic and was told I would have to wait 15 days for a standard $73 appointment OR I could get an “Urgent Care appointment” much sooner for an additional $20 ($93 total). She explained that they “only have one vet” right now and that the urgent care appointments are used to make sure sick pets can “get in”. I explained that this was a money grab and told her I would have to find a new vet if they insisted upon charging me an extra $20 for my cat to be seen by the same group of practicing vets that she normally would see. (Keep in mind, it’s not the $20, it’s the principle of it) She said that was not as problem and offered to send over my pets records to the new clinic. We have been going there for a few years and was very disheartened to see they are so willing to throw our business away. Until today, I was always off the opinion that this clinic was an “animals first” type of place, but today I saw their true colors. My advice is to find a place that truly cares from the beginning and go there. I’m currently searching for that vet clinic now. Good luck and I hope this helps you avoid situations like this in the future.

I bring my kitty, Millie to Animal Hospital of Howard. Great place, amazing staff. Millie sees Dr. Katie. She is very helpful and so caring. I recommend this place to all of my friends and i entrust my cat is in the best care needed. Very grateful for the staff and Dr. Katie. If you’re looking for a place to take your pet, come to Animal Hospital of Howard! Also, when I was worried that my kitty was having trouble breathing (I found out it was a reverse sneeze) the receptionist was able to get me in the next day. Absolutely love their empathy & consideration they have for my girl.
